Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters met for the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
